We are seeking a talented and performance-driven Video Editor with a strong grasp of digital content to create engaging short-form videos for paid ads and organic social platforms like Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. The ideal candidate will have experience crafting attention-grabbing videos that drive conversions while adapting creative styles to meet specific campaign goals. You’ll collaborate with marketers, strategists, and creatives to bring data-informed stories to life.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Editing for Paid Ads & Social Media
- Edit high-impact video ads for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and organic social media content.
- Format videos for multiple aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 16:9).
- Use captions, hooks, transitions, and styling optimized for scroll-stopping attention.
2. Creative Enhancement
- Apply kinetic typography, sound effects, motion graphics, and music to match the brand’s tone.
- Work with designers and copywriters to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
- Pitch new video-first ideas and visual directions for campaigns.
3. Data-Driven Storytelling
- Interpret briefs that include audience insights and behavioural science cues.
- Iterate based on ad performance and feedback to maximize engagement.
- Keep well-organized archives of assets and project versions.
4. Workflow & Collaboration
- Collaborate with performance marketers and producers to deliver timely, quality content.
- Stay ahead of editing and platform trends and apply innovations to enhance content.
Prerequisites:
Experience & Background
- 2–5 years’ experience in short-form video editing, preferably for paid ads and social media.
- Proven track record creating performance-focused content for DTC brands, agencies, or startups.
- Portfolio demonstrating fast-turnaround, high-performing digital video content.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and similar editing software.
- Experienced with multiple formats across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Meta Ads.
- Strong storytelling, editing, subtitling, and sound-syncing skills.
