Job Description: Procurement Analyst
Location: China (Flexible working hours)
About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented Procurement Analyst to manage procurement operations with a primary focus on international suppliers, especially within construction materials and services. This role requires fluency in Mandarin and English to communicate effectively with global suppliers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement for internal clients across multiple industries:
- 80% construction materials and services
- 20% IT hardware and general support services
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and department heads to handle purchase requisitions.
- Source, evaluate, and build strong relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure alternative supplier availability to reduce supply risks.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts to optimize costs and value.
- Create and manage purchase orders following organizational guidelines.
- Plan and improve international logistics including sea freight and trucking.
- Monitor supplier performance and lead improvement initiatives.
- Identify and implement strategic cost-saving measures.
- Coordinate communications with non-English-speaking suppliers using translators and phone agents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in international or construction sectors.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (professional proficiency).
- Self-motivated and independent work style.
- Comfortable working across different cultures and time zones.
Working Conditions:
- Flexible schedule with later start times (~10:00–11:00 AM CST) to align with European vendors.
- Occasional schedule adjustments based on operational needs.
