Job Description: Engineering Manager (Gas Processing & Compression)

KBR , a global leader in high-end engineering and project management, is seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to spearhead a major Project Management Consultancy (PMC) contract in Abu Dhabi. This role is designed for a veteran of the energy sector who can navigate the complexities of massive ADNOC gas projects, ensuring that engineering excellence, safety, and sustainability are woven into the project’s fabric.

As the Engineering Manager, you will be the primary technical authority representing the client’s interests. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team of engineers to govern the transition from FEED to Detailed Engineering and through to EPC execution. Your mission is to manage high-stakes technical interfaces for onshore and offshore gas processing plants, ensuring that global engineering standards are met while adhering to ADNOC’s rigorous specifications. Key Responsibilities

• Multidisciplinary Leadership: Lead and integrate diverse engineering disciplines (Process, Civil, Mechanical, Piping, E&I) to ensure cohesive project delivery.

• PMC Governance: Act as the technical steward for the client, overseeing EPC contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements, budgets, and timelines.

• Design Lifecycle Management: Manage the technical integrity of deliverables across FEED , Detailed Engineering, and the construction phase for gas processing and compression facilities.

• ADNOC Standards Compliance: Ensure all engineering work aligns with ADNOC’s technical specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

• Interface Management: Resolve complex technical clashes and manage interfaces between onshore facilities, offshore platforms, and subsea pipeline networks.

• Risk & Quality Assurance: Lead technical audits, design reviews (HAZOP/HAZID), and value engineering sessions to optimize asset performance and safety.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil preferred).

• Total Experience: Minimum 25+ years in the Oil & Gas industry.

• Management Experience: Minimum 5+ years specifically in the role of Engineering Manager .

• Technical Breadth: Extensive experience in FEED , Detailed Engineering, and EPC projects involving Gas Processing and Gas Compression.

• Offshore/Onshore Expertise: At least 10+ years of hands-on experience in both onshore and offshore environments.

• Regional Experience: Previous experience with ADNOC Projects and Middle Eastern regulatory environments is highly preferred.
