SEGULA Technologies, a global engineering group operating in over 30 countries, is seeking a Water & Wastewater Growth Leader (Business Development Manager) for its Abu Dhabi office. As the UAE accelerates its “Water Security Strategy 2036,” this role is pivotal in positioning SEGULA as a premier partner for high-tech engineering solutions in desalination, water reuse, and smart network management.

This is a strategic commercial-technical hybrid role. You will be responsible for identifying emerging opportunities within municipal and industrial water sectors, fostering relationships with key stakeholders like TAQA, ADDC, and ADSSC, and leading the technical-commercial proposal process. If you are an engineer with a “growth mindset” who is passionate about sustainable resource management and innovative water technologies, this position offers a front-row seat to the UAE’s environmental transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Market Expansion: Identify and capture new business opportunities in the Abu Dhabi water and wastewater sector, focusing on EPC support, specialized consulting, and digital engineering services.

• Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, utility providers, and private industrial clients.

• Proposal Leadership: Direct the preparation of high-quality technical and commercial proposals, ensuring they align with SEGULA’s global engineering standards and local client requirements.

• Sustainable Strategy: Promote innovative solutions such as Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD), membrane bioreactors (MBR), and energy-efficient desalination processes.

• Strategic Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the UAE water sector to refine SEGULA’s value proposition.

• Brand Ambassadorship: Represent SEGULA Technologies at industry conferences and technical forums to showcase the firm’s innovative engineering capabilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering (or a related field).

• Experience: Proven track record in Business Development or Account Management within the Water/Wastewater engineering sector.

• Local Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Abu Dhabi water market and familiarity with local procurement processes.

• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Mindset: A strong commitment to sustainability, innovation, and “forward-thinking” engineering practices.
