In this senior leadership role, you will be the technical cornerstone for massive-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects. As a Lead Engineer, you will harmonize multidisciplinary teams—integrating process, mechanical, and electrical engineering into cohesive civil designs. Your Technical & Strategic Mission

Advanced Infrastructure Design

• Technical Stewardship: Lead the civil engineering design for complex water networks, wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), desalination facilities, and pumping stations.

• Multidisciplinary Integration: Act as the technical glue between process engineers and construction teams, ensuring that hydraulic requirements are perfectly translated into structural and civil realities.

• Quality & Innovation: Drive technical excellence by implementing cutting-edge design methodologies and ensuring compliance with both local Abu Dhabi authorities and international water standards.

Project Leadership & Governance

• Design Management: Oversee the entire design lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) to detailed engineering and construction support.

• Mentorship: Cultivate a culture of excellence by providing high-level technical guidance and professional development to senior and junior engineers.

• Strategic Oversight: Ensure all deliverables meet the rigorous safety, sustainability, and quality benchmarks that AtkinsRéalis is known for globally.

What You Bring to AtkinsRéalis

• Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree or PhD is a plus).

• Veteran Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in water and wastewater infrastructure design.

• Professional Credentials: Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) status is essential.

• Sector Expertise: Proven track record in the Middle East, with deep knowledge of regional water challenges and Abu Dhabi authority regulations (e.g., ADDC, ADSSC).

• Leadership Style: A collaborative mindset with the ability to lead remote and hybrid teams across different geographies.
