We are seeking an inspiring Teaching Faculty member specializing in Data Engineering and Data Science to anchor our newly launched Bachelor of Science in AI.

In this role, you won’t just lecture; you will architect the practical foundation for modern AI systems. Your focus will be on the entire data lifecycle—from the ingestion of massive datasets to the precise curation and “data-centric” cleaning required for Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI. Join an elite academic community in the heart of Abu Dhabi and help bridge the gap between theoretical data science and robust, scalable engineering.

Core Responsibilities

• Expert Instruction: Deliver high-caliber courses in Data Engineering and Data Science, with a specific lens on the rigorous data preparation required for Generative AI systems.

• Curriculum Innovation: Design and evolve course content, laboratory exercises, and assessments that reflect real-world industry standards and cloud-based data workflows.

• Student Mentorship: Advise undergraduate students on applied data initiatives, capstone projects, and career development within the AI ​​landscape.

• The Data Lifecycle: Teach the mastery of data acquisition, statistical profiling, data mining, and the design of scalable pipelines using modern tools.

• Collaboration: Partner with world-class researchers and faculty to integrate interdisciplinary insights into the undergraduate curriculum.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field is mandatory.

• Technical Mastery: Demonstrated expertise in Data Management and Analytics, including proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, Hadoop , and cloud-native data systems.

• Teaching Excellence: A proven track record of teaching or training at the university level, with a focus on experiential and application-oriented learning.

• Industry Alignment: Ability to translate complex data workflows into digestible, hands-on lessons for students in both the Business and Engineering streams.
