Job Description: Teacher of English and Media

The English College Dubai, one of the city’s most prestigious and established institutions, is seeking a high-caliber Teacher of English and Media to join our secondary faculty in August 2026.
With a 33-year legacy and a “Very Good” rating by the DSIB, The English College is a school where wellbeing comes first. You will work in our brand-new, state-of-the-art STEAM centre (opened 2025), utilizing a specialized media suite and graphics studio to bring your lessons to life. We are looking for an inspiring professional who can challenge our “EC Lions” to thrive academically and holistically. Key Responsibilities

Dual-Subject Excellence: Deliver high-quality English and Media lessons across the Secondary School, with a mandatory requirement to teach both through to A Level.

STEAM Integration: Utilize our cutting-edge Media Suite and graphics studio to foster creativity, digital literacy, and technical skills.

Data-Driven Progress: Use student data to provide personalized challenges and support, ensuring that students of all abilities meet high academic expectations.

Holistic Development: Support students’ emotional, physical, and social growth, acting as a proactive contributor to the school’s pastoral care system.

Professional Learning: Engage actively in the school’s extensive CPD opportunities, maintaining a reflective approach to your own teaching practice.

Cross-Curricular Support: Demonstrate the flexibility and willingness to teach other science subjects at KS3 and/or KS4 if required.
Requirements & Qualifications

Education: A good Honours Degree in English, Media, or a related field.

Certification: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE, preferably from the UK.

Experience: A minimum of two years of successful teaching experience.

Background Checks: Ability to provide a UK enhanced DBS, an ICPC, or equivalent police checks covering the last 10 years.
