In this role, you are the technical backbone of the hotel operations. You will oversee the maintenance of vital systems—from HVAC and plumbing to life safety equipment—ensuring that our “behind-the-scenes” infrastructure is as flawless as our guest-facing service. As a supervisor, you will lead by example, mentoring a team of technicians while managing inventory, safety compliance, and emergency protocols. Your Technical & Leadership Mission

Systems Maintenance & Reliability

• Technical Oversight: Install, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on all hotel tools, appliances, and equipment.

• Calibration: Ensure all gauges, meters, and controls are perfectly calibrated to maintain operational efficiency and safety.

• Life Safety Systems: Take full ownership of the life safety checklist, including mandatory fire-pump and generator run tests, and inspections of fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems.

Operational Governance

• Inventory Management: Order, mark, and stock parts; maintain a detailed purchase order log and inventory of technical supplies.

• Disaster Response: Assist in the development and implementation of disaster response protocols to protect guests, associates, and the property.

• Digital Documentation: Use computer systems to enter work orders, track equipment history, and locate critical facility information.

Team Leadership & Guest Service

• People Management: Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching employees. You will be responsible for motivating the team and maintaining professional standards.

• Guest Interface: Respond promptly to guest repair requests with clear, professional communication, anticipating their needs according to Marriott’s global standards.

• Safety Culture: Report maintenance problems and safety hazards immediately; ensure the team adheres to all security policies and “Zero Harm” procedures.

What You Bring to Marriott

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.

• Technical Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in facility engineering or maintenance.

• Leadership Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or lead technician role.

• Physical Agility: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, and perform manual tasks including bending, twisting, and reaching overhead.

• Soft Skills: Excellent professional communication and the ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in a high-pressure hospitality environment.
