Are you a veteran of the oil and gas landscape with a talent for translating structural blueprints into high-integrity energy infrastructure? Penspen Ltd is seeking a Senior Structural Construction Engineer to lead onshore operations at our UAE project sites.

In this senior-tier role, you will be the primary technical authority on the construction floor (or “Yard”). You aren’t just supervising concrete pours; you are ensuring the structural backbone of major oil and gas assets—from massive steel frames to complex equipment foundations—is built to survive the harshest environments. We need a leader who balances technical rigor with a “safety-first” site culture, specifically someone with the seasoned eye that only 15+ years in the industry can provide.

Key Responsibilities

• On-Site Command: Supervise and manage all onshore structural construction activities, including heavy steel structures, concrete works, foundations, and site buildings.

• Technical Compliance: Ensure every weld, bolt, and pour complies strictly with approved drawings, project specifications, and international codes.

• Contractor Management: Lead PMC/EPC coordination, managing construction contractors to ensure they hit milestones without compromising quality or safety.

• Progress & Reporting: Monitor site progress against the master schedule, identifying potential bottlenecks in structural sequencing before they impact the critical path.

• Constructability & Methodology: Review method statements, work procedures, and lifting plans, providing expert feedback to improve site efficiency and safety.

• Quality & Commissioning: Support the QA/QC team during inspections and testing, leading the eventual handover of structural works to the operations team.

Your Technical Expertise

• The “15+3” Rule: A minimum of 15 years of total engineering experience, with at least 3–5 years focused exclusively on onshore structural construction within the Oil & Gas sector.

• Code Mastery: Deep familiarity with international structural codes, including ACI (Concrete), AISC (Steel), BS, and ISO.

• Site Operations: Expert knowledge of construction sequencing, heavy lifting plans, and temporary works engineering.

• The ADNOC Edge: Prior experience on ADNOC Onshore projects is considered a major advantage and will be prioritized.

• HSE Advocacy: A rock-solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements for high-risk onshore construction yards.
