In this high-impact leadership role, you will be the primary architect behind our scalable microservices and the core engine that powers our AI features. You won’t just be managing a team; you will be designing the high-throughput pipelines that allow AI agents to interact with complex datasets in real-time. We are looking for a hands-on leader who can balance the rigors of traditional backend stability with the fast-evolving requirements of generative AI and agentic workflows.

Your Architectural & Leadership Mission

Scalable Systems Design

• Distributed Foundations: Architect and oversee the deployment of high-availability, low-latency microservices capable of handling massive concurrent user traffic.

• Data Orchestration: Design robust data pipelines and schema strategies (SQL/NoSQL/Vector) that support both standard application logic and complex AI retrieval tasks.

• Performance Engineering: Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the system, optimizing API response times and resource utilization across cloud environments.

AI Feature Integration & RAG Pipelines

• Model Orchestration: Lead the integration of LLMs (via OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source local deployments) into the backend ecosystem.

• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): Build and maintain high-performance RAG pipelines, ensuring seamless integration between vector databases (like Pinecone, Milvus, or Weaviate) and application logic.

• AI Reliability: Implement observability and safety guardrails for AI outputs, ensuring that automation is predictable, secure, and performant.

Technical Leadership & Vision

• Project Direction: Take full ownership of the backend roadmap, translating product goals into technical specifications and delivery milestones.

• Mentorship: Lead and upskill a team of backend engineers, enforcing high standards for code quality, documentation, and automated testing.

• Security & Compliance: Enforce enterprise-grade security protocols, including encryption, identity management, and data privacy standards.

What You Bring to beBee

• Deep Expertise: Extensive experience in backend languages ​​(Python, Go, or Node.js) and cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• AI Literacy: Hands-on experience with AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Haystack) and Vector search technologies.

• Proven Leadership: A history of leading engineering teams through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for large-scale SaaS products.

• Architectural Mindset: Ability to design “local-first” or “privacy-first” systems that leverage edge computing and secure tunnels.
