KBR , a global leader in high-end engineering and sustainable technology, is seeking a Specialist Rotating Engineer for a major Project Management Consultancy (PMC) contract in Abu Dhabi. This role is dedicated to the oversight of critical mechanical assets within ADNOC Gas Processing projects.

As a Specialist, you will act as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for high-value rotating machinery. In a PMC capacity, you represent the client’s interests, ensuring that EPC contractors deliver machinery that is not only high-performing but also inherently safe and reliable for long-term operation. Your expertise will cover the entire asset lifecycle, from reviewing complex FEED studies to witnessing high-pressure performance tests at vendor facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Surveillance: Act as the technical authority for the review and approval of mechanical data sheets, specifications, and drawings for centrifugal/reciprocating compressors, gas turbines, and pumps.

• PMC Governance: Oversee EPC contractors to ensure strict adherence to ADNOC Technical Specifications (ATS) and international standards such as API 617, 610, 611, and 618 .

• Vibration & Rotordynamics: Review lateral and torsional rotordynamic analyzes to ensure equipment operates far from resonance frequencies.

• Performance Validation: Witness and verify Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), specifically focusing on ASME PTC 10 Type 1 or Type 2 tests for compressors.

• Troubleshooting & Advisory: Provide expert technical guidance for complex mechanical issues during the detailed engineering and commissioning phases.

• Interdisciplinary Integration: Coordinate with Process, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams to ensure correct driver sizing (Gas Turbine vs. Electric Motor) and auxiliary system (Lube Oil, Seal Gas) integration.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.

• Experience: Minimum 15+ years in the Oil & Gas industry.

• Mandatory Background: Direct experience with ADNOC Projects and PMC roles is essential.

• Project Profile: Demonstrated success in FEED, Detailed Engineering , and EPC execution for Gas Processing Plants.

• Onshore/Offshore: Minimum 5 years of experience working on both onshore and offshore assets.
