Job Description: Site Turnover & Completions Lead
Are you a master of the “final mile” in large-scale energy projects? Wood (John Wood Group PLC) is looking for a strategic Site Turnover & Completions Lead to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This is a high-visibility role focused on the critical transition from construction to operations.
In this position, you will be the gatekeeper of project integrity. You’ll be responsible for orchestrating the mechanical completion and handover process, ensuring that every system, document, and safety check aligns perfectly with ADNOC standards and Wood’s global delivery excellence. We need a coordinator who can navigate complex technical requirements while maintaining the project schedule during the most intense phases of the lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

System Completion Leadership: Plan, lead, and coordinate the systematic completion of project units, moving from construction to pre-commissioning.

Handover Management: Oversee the preparation and verification of turnover packages, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant for final client acceptance.

ADNOC Compliance: Act as the subject matter expert on ADNOC standards for mechanical completion and handover protocols.

Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between construction teams, quality assurance, and the client’s operations staff to ensure a seamless transition.

Performance Tracking: Utilize completions management systems to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and provide clear reporting on mechanical completion status.

Quality & Safety: Ensure that all “as-built” documentation and safety certifications are completed to the highest industry standards before handover.
What You Bring

Energy Sector Expertise: Deep experience in the Oil & Gas or Energy delivery sector, specifically within EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environments.

Completions Specialist: Proven track record in managing mechanical completions, punch-list management, and turnover processes for large-scale projects.

Regulatory Knowledge: Strong familiarity with UAE energy regulations and ADNOC Code of Practices.

Project Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation) during the handover phase.

Leadership: Strong communication skills and the ability to drive performance across diverse contractor teams.
