Job Description: Site Planning Engineer
Emirates Electrical & Instrumentation Company LLC , a key subsidiary of the Ghobash Group , is seeking a high-precision Site Planning Engineer . For two decades, we have been a strategic partner to ADNOC and Tier 1 EPC contractors, delivering specialized electrical and automation solutions that power the UAE’s Oil & Gas infrastructure.
As a Site Planning Engineer, you are the architect of project timelines and the guardian of project budgets. You will be responsible for integrating complex E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) workflows into a cohesive, risk-adjusted master schedule. From generating advanced S-curves to managing manpower histograms and critical path analysis, your role ensures that our onshore and offshore projects move from “planned” to “commissioned” with surgical efficiency. Key Responsibilities

Schedule Orchestration: Develop and manage Master and Construction schedules, including the creation of a detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and major milestone tracking.

Progress Intelligence: Establish a robust Progress Measurement System (PMS) . Monitor weekly/monthly updates and perform “Planned vs. Actual” variance analysis to identify bottlenecks.

Cost & Budget Control: Execute end-to-end cost control, maintaining the cost trend register and preparing monthly forecasts. Compare actual man-hours against budget to drive productivity.

Advanced Reporting: Generate Monthly (MPR), Weekly (WPR), and Daily (DPR) reports, including narrative analysis and S-curves for client and management review.

Risk & Recovery: Proactively identify project risks and develop response plans. When delays occur, design and implement Recovery Schedules to protect the completion date.

Financial Administration: Prepare Progress Payment Certificates (PPC) and Requests for Invoices (RFI). Review subcontractor invoices and manage project cash flow comparisons.

Claims & EOT: Prepare technical documentation for project claims and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred).

Experience: Minimum 5-6 years in Construction or Oil & Gas, with at least 3 years dedicated to Project Planning/Controls.

Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project. Advanced MS Excel skills are essential.

Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly preferred.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with AutoCAD and Oracle ERP systems; Strong understanding of E&I EPC project lifecycles.

Commercial Acumen: Solid understanding of project financing, cost control principles, and commercial awareness in a multi-contract environment.
