Are you a seasoned piping specialist with a talent for solving complex layout and flexibility challenges? KBR, Inc. is looking for a Senior Piping Engineer to join our world-class engineering team in Abu Dhabi. This is a leadership-tier technical role where you will be responsible for the structural integrity and optimal routing of piping systems for major Oil & Gas projects.

In this position, you will act as the technical authority for piping design, bridging the gap between conceptual 3D modeling and rigorous stress analysis. We are looking for an engineer who doesn’t just follow standards but masters them—ensuring that every flange, support, and expansion loop is engineered for maximum safety and efficiency in high-pressure environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead System Engineering: Define comprehensive piping design requirements and engineer complex systems for offshore and onshore facilities.

• Advanced Stress Analysis: Conduct and oversee pipe stress analysis to ensure all systems can withstand thermal expansion, pressure surges, and environmental loads.

• Standard Compliance: Guarantee that all designs strictly adhere to international codes such as ASME B31.3, B31.4, and B31.8, as well as specific client specifications (e.g., ADNOC, Shell).

• Interdisciplinary Coordination: Lead the integration of piping designs with Civil, Structural, and Mechanical departments to eliminate clashes and optimize the overall plant layout.

• Technical Mentorship: Provide guidance and quality checks for junior designers and engineers, ensuring the highest level of technical accuracy in deliverables.

• Problem Solving: Resolve critical site-related piping issues and provide engineering solutions for brownfield modifications and debottlenecking.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 12+ years of professional experience in the Oil & Gas sector, specifically within a Lead or Senior Piping role.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• Technical Mastery: * Proven expertise in Pipe Stress Analysis (proficiency in software like CAESAR II is highly preferred).

  • Deep understanding of piping materials, support design, and 3D modeling workflows (E3D/S3D).

• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and project management capabilities within a multicultural team environment.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Extensive familiarity with UAE energy sector standards and global best practices in piping engineering.
