Are you a technical commander who thrives in the high-stakes environment of “Mission Critical” infrastructure? A leading technology infrastructure firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior MEP AMC Engineer to serve as the operational backbone of our Data Center facilities.

In the world of Data Centers, there is no room for error. As the Senior MEP AMC Engineer, you are the technical “engine room” for the Operations Manager. This is not a desk job; it is a high-impact, “boots-on-the-ground” leadership role where you bridge the gap between strategic facility goals and the technical labor force. Your mission is simple but absolute: ensure 24/7 system reliability and 100% “Up-Time.” From commanding site technicians to holding Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) vendors to account, you are the final line of defense against operational downtime.

Your Technical & Tactical Mission

Operational Command & Execution

• Direct Labor Leadership: Act as the primary commander for site-based MEP technicians. You are responsible for their daily productivity, technical accuracy, and strict adherence to Safety/PPE protocols.

• Tactical Translation: Turn the Operations Manager’s high-level directives into granular, actionable daily tasks for the MEP staff.

• High-Stakes Maintenance: Oversee complex preventative and corrective maintenance on Chilled Water systems, UPS strings, and Fire Suppression arrays without risking the live load.

Compliance & Vendor Governance

• Authority Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact for ADDC (Abu Dhabi Distribution Company) and UAE Civil Defense site inspections and compliance audits.

• Permit-to-Work (PTW): Enforce a rigorous PTW system, ensuring no staff or vendor touches a system until all safety and operational clearances are documented.

• Vendor Accountability: Stop contractors from merely “showing up.” You will provide the OM with weekly performance scorecards, ensuring deep-level maintenance is performed according to the AMC contract.

Incident Response & Asset Control

• Real-Time Troubleshooting: When the BMS/EPMS triggers an alarm, you lead the technical “Quick Response Team.” You manage the troubleshooting process and provide the OM with real-time “Time to Recovery” updates.

• Inventory Logistics: Maintain the site’s MEP spare parts critical stock. You ensure zero delays in emergency repairs while strictly adhering to the operational budget.

What You Bring to the Engine Room

• Field-Tested Experience: 10+ years of total MEP experience, with at least 5+ years in the UAE navigating local utility authority requirements.

• Data Center Expertise: A proven track record in high-availability environments where chilled water, UPS redundancy, and fire life safety are paramount.

• Leadership Grit: A “boots-on-the-ground” management style capable of commanding diverse labor groups and driving vendor performance.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Full familiarity with UAE Society of Engineers standards and Civil Defense codes.
