KBR , a global leader in high-end engineering and sustainable technology, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Rotating Engineer for a major Project Management Consultancy (PMC) contract in Abu Dhabi. This role is dedicated to the oversight of MEGA EPC projects within the Oil & Gas sector, specifically focusing on the critical machinery that drives gas processing and compression.

As a Senior Rotating Engineer, you will act as the technical authority for high-value machinery, including centrifugal compressors, gas turbines, and sophisticated pumping systems. In a PMC capacity, you are the client’s guardian, ensuring that the EPC contractor’s designs, procurement choices, and installation methods meet the highest standards of reliability and efficiency. This position requires an engineer who can navigate the technical rigors of large-scale industrial assets while aligning with KBR’s commitment to sustainable, future-forward engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Surveillance: Lead the review and approval of mechanical data sheets, technical specifications, and drawings for all rotating equipment (Compressors, Turbines, Pumps, Fans).

• PMC Governance: Oversee EPC contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, ADNOC standards (if applicable), and international codes such as API 617, 610, and 618 .

• Design Optimization: Conduct and review lateral and torsional rotordynamic analyzes to ensure machinery operates within safe vibration limits.

• Vibration & Performance Monitoring: Review performance curves and vibration data during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and site commissioning.

• Procurement Support: Lead Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) to ensure selected vendors meet the rigorous mechanical and operational requirements of the project.

• Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with Process and Electrical teams to ensure correct driver sizing and seamless integration into the plant’s control systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.

• Industry Experience: Minimum 15+ years in the execution of EPC contracts within the Oil & Gas industry.

• Project Profile: Proven track record in MEGA EPC projects, specifically within gas processing or refining.

• Onshore Expertise: At least 8+ years of experience in Onshore project execution is highly preferred.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep familiarity with API standards and rotating equipment lifecycle management, from design to decommissioning.
