Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA) , the world’s largest “premium aluminum” producer and a cornerstone of the UAE’s industrial sector, is seeking a high-caliber Senior Engineer – Projects . This role is situated at the heart of EGA’s operational evolution, where technical precision meets large-scale industrial execution.

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be the tactical lead responsible for bridging the gap between engineering design and operational reality. You will manage the entire lifecycle of small to medium-sized projects—from the first conceptual drawing to the final handover to the Operations team. Your mission is to ensure that every project is delivered within the “Iron Triangle” of scope, budget, and schedule, all while maintaining the world-class safety and quality standards that EGA is known for globally.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Management: Take full ownership of small to medium-sized projects, leading them through inception, execution, and final handover.

• Operational Liaison: Act as the primary coordinator between the Project team and Operations, ensuring that technical solutions are aligned with the realities of the smelting and production environment.

• Technical Oversight: Review and advise on complex fabrication details, shop drawings, and material submittals provided by contractors to ensure compliance with EGA specifications.

• Design & Value Engineering: Participate in design review meetings with EPCM/EPC consultants, contributing to design optimization and the Value Engineering Program to drive cost-efficiencies.

• Execution & Supervision: Support on-site teams in supervising construction activities, ensuring that contractor performance aligns strictly with technical blueprints and safety protocols.

• Handover & POV: Drive Pre-Operational Verification (POV) activities to ensure a seamless transition of assets to the Operations and Maintenance teams.

• Financial & Schedule Control: Monitor project budgets and timelines, proactively identifying risks and managing corrective actions to prevent slippage.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil preferred).

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in project execution within a heavy industrial, oil & gas, or manufacturing environment.

• Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders (Operations, Consultants, and Contractors) simultaneously.

• Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and technical specifications.

• Soft Skills: Exceptional planning, organizational, and communication skills; a collaborative team-player mindset.
