Key Responsibilities

• Platform Engineering: Design and operationalize enterprise-scale ML platforms (eg, SageMaker, Kubeflow, or Azure ML) to support the full model lifecycle.

• MLOps Implementation: Automate the deployment, scaling, and management of ML models using CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Infrastructure Support: Provide Tier-3 support for ML production environments, ensuring 24/7 availability and performance for mission-critical banking AI.

• Security & Governance: Implement rigorous data security protocols and access controls to ensure AI workloads comply with UAE Central Bank and international financial regulations.

• Monitoring & Reliability: Build advanced monitoring dashboards to track model performance, feature drift, and system health.

• Collaboration: Partner with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to optimize model inference and resource utilization (GPU/CPU).

• Mentorship: Lead technical skill development initiatives for junior engineers and contribute to FAB’s Emirati talent progression plans.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering , or a related quantitative field.

• Experience: Minimum 5-8 years in Software Engineering or DevOps, with at least 3 years specialized in ML Platform/MLOps engineering.

• Technical Stack:

  • Cloud: Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud ML services.

  • Orchestration: Deep knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker.

  • Tooling: Proficiency with MLflow , Kubeflow, or DVC.

  • Languages: Expert-level Python; familiarity with Go or Java is a plus.

• Banking Domain: Previous experience in FinTech or Banking is highly advantageous due to the focus on high-security environments.

• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to lead “Candid Conversations” regarding technical debt and architectural choices.
