Senior Engineer: Messaging and Collaboration
Are you a communications expert who can bridge the gap between complex IP telephony and modern enterprise collaboration? Global Corporation is seeking a Senior Engineer: Messaging and Collaboration to join our technology team in Abu Dhabi.
In this critical role, you will be the architect and guardian of our voice and collaboration ecosystem. You aren’t just managing phones; you are ensuring the “central nervous system” of our communication—spanning our local head office and international branches—remains secure, reliable, and cutting-edge. From designing complex Avaya Aura environments to integrating Microsoft collaboration tools and AudioCodes gateways, you will lead the full lifecycle of services that keep our global business connected.
Your Technical & Communication Mission
Solution Design & Implementation

Infrastructure Architecture: Plan, design, and implement telephony-related infrastructure, including PABX systems, voicemail, and media servers.

Avaya Mastery: Develop and manage configurations for the Avaya Aura suite, including System Manager, Session Manager, and Communications Manager.

Unified Communications: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the integration of SIP services, IVR applications, CMS reporting, and call recording solutions.
Operations & Lifecycle Management

System Hardening: Implement system performance tuning and security hardening in line with strict banking policies and government regulations.

Capacity Planning: Lead server capacity planning, requirement gathering, and the commissioning/decommissioning of hardware and software assets.

Maintenance & Patching: Manage the full lifecycle of telephony software and hardware, ensuring timely patching and version upgrades to maintain high availability.
Stakeholder Coordination & Support

Vendor Management: Act as the primary technical interface for vendors, managing escalations and ensuring third-party support meets defined SLAs.

Inter-departmental Sync: Collaborate with Network Engineering, Database Admin, and Business Application teams to resolve complex cross-functional issues.

User Advocacy: Provide expert technical advice to end-users and internal stakeholders, ensuring that collaboration tools meet evolving business goals.
What You Bring to Global Corporation

Experience: 5–10 years of deep experience in IP telephony, call billing, IVR, and collaboration infrastructure.

Technical Stack: Proven hands-on expertise with Avaya, Microsoft (Teams/Skype for Business), and AudioCodes hardware/software.

Strategic Skills: Strong ability in root cause analysis (RCA), capacity planning, and technical documentation.

Compliance Mindset: Experience managing interactions with internal/external auditors and ensuring compliance with corporate security policies.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
