KBR , a global leader in providing mission-critical engineering and sustainable technology solutions, is seeking a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role is part of a high-profile Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team focused on large-scale Gas Processing and Gas Compression projects.

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the structural integrity and civil design of complex onshore and offshore assets. You will leverage your technical expertise to oversee the design of everything from heavy equipment foundations and massive pipe racks to blast-resistant control buildings and substations. In the demanding environment of Abu Dhabi’s oil and gas sector, your role ensures that infrastructure is resilient, sustainable, and optimized for the entire asset lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Design & Engineering Oversight: Lead and review Civil and Structural design deliverables for FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and Detailed Engineering phases.

• Infrastructure Mastery: Supervise the design of critical facilities including onshore/offshore gas processing plants, pipelines, piperacks, substations, and control buildings.

• Structural Analysis: Validate structural calculations for steel and concrete structures, ensuring they withstand seismic, wind, and operational loads unique to the GCC region.

• PMC Governance: Act as the technical authority on behalf of the client, ensuring EPC contractors adhere to project specifications, international standards, and KBR’s sustainability goals.

• Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with Process, Piping, and Mechanical teams to optimize plant layouts and ensure seamless integration of structural supports.

• Site & Road Works: Oversee the planning and design of site grading, drainage systems, and heavy-duty industrial roads required for gas processing facilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is mandatory.

• Experience: Minimum 15+ years of professional experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

• Project Profile: Demonstrated experience in FEED & Detailed Engineering for Gas Processing and Compression projects.

• Environment: Must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in both Onshore and Offshore project environments.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of international codes (eg, AISC, ACI, ASCE) and specific regional standards for Gas Processing plants.

• Leadership: Proven ability to manage complex engineering workflows within a PMC framework.
