Job Description: Remote Quantity Surveyor (Hospitality & Villas)
Are you a commercial expert with a sharp eye for detail in high-end residential and leisure developments? SNC-Lavalin (now part of the AtkinsRéalis group) is seeking a Remote Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial lifecycle of prestigious villa and hospitality projects in Abu Dhabi.
This role is perfect for a self-motivated surveyor who thrives in a flexible, remote-working environment while maintaining the rigorous standards of a world-class engineering firm. You will be responsible for ensuring that luxury hospitality assets and expansive villa complexes are delivered within budget, managing everything from initial cost planning to final account settlement.
Key Responsibilities

Commercial Management: Lead the financial administration of multiple villa and hospitality projects, ensuring all commercial activities align with project objectives.

Contract Administration: Manage and interpret various contract forms, ensuring both the firm and the clients are protected against commercial risk.

Cost Reporting & Review: Conduct regular cost reviews, prepare budget estimates, and manage variations to ensure transparent financial reporting to stakeholders.

Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a remote bridge between site-based teams, consultants, and clients to resolve commercial queries and facilitate smooth progress.

Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency without compromising the high quality required for luxury hospitality environments.

Final Accounts: Manage the negotiation and settlement of final accounts with contractors and vendors.
Your Technical Expertise

Sector Focus: Strong background in Villas/Residential and Hospitality projects, with an understanding of the specific finishes and high-level specifications these sectors require.

Cost Planning: Proficiency in quantifying and costing complex structural and interior fit-out works.

Contractual Knowledge: Familiarity with FIDIC or other standard international forms of contract commonly used in the UAE.

Software Proficiency: Experience with modern quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam) and advanced Excel for data-driven cost analysis.
Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-degree experience, preferably within a consultancy or engineering services firm.

Skills: Excellent communication skills (English), a proactive approach to remote work, and strong negotiation abilities.

Local Knowledge: Experience in the UAE or Middle East market is highly preferred to navigate local vendor landscapes and regulations.
