Job Description: Procurement Officer (HVAC/Air Conditioning Specialist)

A Confidential Company operating in the Al Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah, is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Procurement Officer. This role is specifically tailored for a professional who understands the complexities of the Air Conditioning/HVAC manufacturing or construction sector.

As a Procurement Officer, you will be the commercial link between project timelines and supply chain execution. You will not just “buy” products; you will engineer a procurement strategy that balances high-quality technical specifications with aggressive cost-efficiency. Your success will be measured by your ability to navigate the global and local HVAC supplier market to ensure our projects are delivered on time and under budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing: Implement and refine procurement plans that align strictly with project schedules, ensuring that long-lead HVAC components arrive exactly when needed.

• Market Analysis: Conduct rigorous market research to identify high-tier suppliers and evaluate their manufacturing capacity, financial stability, and quality controls.

• Negotiation & Value Engineering: Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to maximize organizational value and improve project margins.

• Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Develop a robust vendor database, performing regular audits and performance evaluations to ensure 100% compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Contract Management: Oversee the lifecycle of purchase orders and contracts, ensuring all legal and commercial terms protect the organization’s interests.

• Inter-Departmental Liaison: Collaborate with Engineering and Project Management teams to understand technical specifications and provide cost-effective alternatives where possible.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory.

• Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of professional procurement experience.

• Industry Focus: Proven experience within the Air Conditioning (HVAC), manufacturing, or construction sectors is highly preferred.

• Certifications: Professional credentials such as CPPO or CSCP are a significant advantage and will be prioritized.

• Skills: Advanced negotiation tactics, proficiency in ERP software (such as SAP or Oracle), and a methodical approach to data-driven decision-making.
