Job Description: Physical Therapist
Are you a clinical expert dedicated to restoring movement and enhancing the human experience? American Hospital Dubai is seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our premier rehabilitation team.
In this role, you will be a vital member of a multidisciplinary team, providing evidence-based direct patient care. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, establish personalized care plans, and utilize advanced therapeutic techniques to reduce pain and restore function. Whether working with post-operative patients or those with chronic conditions, your expertise will help our patients achieve a healthier, more active lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Planning

Comprehensive Evaluation: Perform initial and follow-up assessments using APTA standards, including GCS cognitive scoring, vital signs monitoring, and musculoskeletal testing (ROM/MMT).

Pain Management: Utilize standardized tools like the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) or FLACC to assess and monitor patient pain levels throughout the treatment lifecycle.

Goal Setting: Establish clear, measurable patient goals in collaboration with Consultants, Physicians, and the patient’s family or caregivers.
Therapeutic Intervention

Treatment Delivery: Independently perform clinical tasks including Manual Therapy, Gait Training, and Therapeutic Exercises.

Physiotherapy Modalities: Apply advanced modalities such as TENS, Ultrasound Therapy, Interferential Therapy, and Mechanical Traction with precise device settings.

Assistive Devices: Select and train patients on the use of supportive medical equipment to prevent injury and promote independent mobility.
Operational & Quality Oversight

Productivity Standards: Deliver services equivalent to 26 sessions/CPT codes per shift, adhering to 15-minute procedural blocks.

Interdisciplinary Support: Act as a clinical resource for Junior Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and Speech Pathologists.

Quality Improvement: Participate in CQI activities and department audits to maintain the high standards of a JCI-accredited facility.

Equipment & Inventory: Perform functional and calibration checks on medical equipment and coordinate with Biomedical Engineering for repairs.
Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy or Physical Therapy.

Licensure: * Current license in country of origin/hire.

Valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) License or Eligibility Letter.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of post-certification experience as a Junior Physiotherapist or Physical Therapist.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in critical thinking, infection control protocols, and the application of diverse physiotherapy modalities.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
