Job Description: Occupational Medicine Specialist (Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities

• Medical Surveillance: Conduct comprehensive pre-employment and periodic medical examinations to monitor the long-term health of employees in various industrial and corporate sectors.

• Fitness Assessments: Evaluate and authorize Fitness-to-Work and Return-to-Work certifications, ensuring employees can safely perform their duties without risk to themselves or others.

• Clinical Management: Diagnose and manage the clinical pathway for work-related injuries and occupational illnesses, focusing on effective rehabilitation and preventive care.

• Risk Mitigation: Provide expert guidance on occupational risk assessments and hazard control to minimize workplace health exposure.

• Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and issue formal medical reports that strictly adhere to the standards of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH).

• Documentation Excellence: Maintain precise, confidential, and up-to-date medical records in accordance with UAE federal health laws.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certification: Must be a qualified Occupational Medicine Specialist with valid credentials.

• Licensure: Eligibility for or current possession of a Department of Health (DOH) / HAAD license as a Specialist is required.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of UAE Labor Law as it pertains to occupational health and safety.

• Clinical Skills: Expertise in conducting specialized health surveillance and diagnostic procedures related to industrial health.

• Professionalism: Strong ethical standards regarding patient confidentiality and employer-employee relations.
