The NIOS system is unique, focusing on self-paced learning and practical application. We are looking for a tutor who doesn’t just teach formulas but helps the student navigate the specific NIOS modular structure—from Algebra to Commercial Mathematics. As this is a one-on-one, private tuition role, you will have the opportunity to tailor your teaching style to the student’s specific pace, ensuring they build a rock-solid foundation for their secondary certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Mastery: Deliver comprehensive lessons covering the NIOS Secondary Mathematics (211) syllabus, including Number Systems, Algebra, Commercial Math, Geometry, Mensuration, and Statistics.

• TMA Guidance: Assist the student in completing their Tutor Marked Assignments (TMAs), which are critical for the NIOS continuous assessment model.

• Problem-Solving: Break down complex topics like Quadratic Equations, Coordinate Geometry, and Trigonometry into manageable, logical steps.

• Exam Preparation: Conduct regular mock tests and focus on the NIOS exam pattern (which includes a mix of MCQs and subjective questions) to build the student’s confidence.

• Digital Instruction: Use interactive whiteboards, screen sharing, and mathematical tools (like GeoGebra or EquatIO) to make virtual learning as effective as in-person instruction.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Academic Expertise: A strong background in Mathematics (B.Sc./M.Sc. in Math or B.Ed. is preferred).

• Curriculum Knowledge: Specific familiarity with the NIOS Board standards and its bifurcation of syllabus (TMA vs. Public Examination lessons).
