Technical Insight: Radiation Safety

In this role, you will adhere to the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle. Understanding the relationship between distance and radiation exposure is critical, often calculated via the Inverse Square Law :

$$I_1 \times (d_1)^2 = I_2 \times (d_2)^2$$

Where$I$is the intensity of radiation and$d$is the distance from the source.
