Key Responsibilities

• Dynamic Instruction: Deliver interactive, hands-on science lessons that align with American standards and foster a deep-seated love for scientific inquiry.

• Curriculum Innovation: Develop creative teaching strategies that promote critical thinking, differentiation, and the real-world application of scientific principles.

• Inclusive Culture: Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to take intellectual risks and explore their curiosity.

• Collaborative Growth: Work closely with the Middle School department to ensure vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment and share best practices.

• Community Engagement: Maintain transparent and proactive communication with parents through conferences and regular progress updates, ensuring a holistic support system for every child.

Your Professional Profile

• Educational Foundation: A Bachelor of Education degree OR a relevant subject degree plus a teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent) specialized in Science.

• Proven Track Record: Experience teaching Middle School Science, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with American Curriculum or IB MYP frameworks.

• Inquiry Expert: Deep knowledge of inquiry-based learning methodologies and a commitment to hands-on, laboratory-based education.

• Relationship Builder: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with a diverse, international student body and parent community.
