Job Description: Lead Barista & Head of Beverage Training

Are you an experienced coffee professional with a passion for teaching the craft? Black Pearl Consult is looking for a Lead Barista to spearhead the coffee program at a premier café in Abu Dhabi.

This role is designed for a leader who excels in high-standard environments and possesses the technical expertise to elevate our beverage offerings. You won’t just be behind the machine; you will be the mentor and supervisor of our barista team, ensuring every cup reflects the sophisticated coffee culture of Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise daily floor operations, ensuring the barista team maintains peak performance and professional standards.

• Artisanal Craft: Prepare and serve high-quality specialty coffee, demonstrating mastery over extraction, milk texturing, and latte art.

• Training & Development: Act as the primary trainer for new hires, onboarding them into our specific brewing protocols and service etiquette.

• Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels of beans, milk, and consumables, ensuring zero downtime and minimal waste.

• Communication: Serve as a bridge between the staff and management, fostering a vibrant and efficient workspace.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who understands the local market. We are looking for:

• UAE Experience: A minimum of 6 months working within the UAE specialty coffee or hospitality scene.

• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage a team and handle high-pressure service periods with composure.

• Expert Knowledge: Deep understanding of coffee origins, roasting profiles, and equipment maintenance.

• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse, high-end clientele.
