Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Monitor and maintain the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) to ensure 24/7 uptime.

• Hardware Configuration: Install, configure, and support network hardware including routers, switches (Cisco, HP, D-Link), and access points.

• Network Security: Implement and manage security measures such as Firewalls, VPNs, and NAT (Network Address Translation) to safeguard the internal network.

• System Support: Provide basic administration for Windows and Linux servers, ensuring user accounts and permissions are correctly managed.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex connectivity issues using the OSI Model and network monitoring tools.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, IP address assignments (subnetting), and hardware inventory.

Core Technical Skills

• Networking Fundamentals: Strong conceptual knowledge of TCP/IP, the OSI Model, and efficient Subnetting.

• Vendor Hardware: Hands-on experience with Cisco, HP, or D-Link networking devices.

• Security & Protocols: Solid understanding of VPN (Virtual Private Networks), Firewalls, and routing protocols.

• Operating Systems: Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux environments.

• Tools: Experience with network monitoring software (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, or Nagios).
