Job Description: ICU Staff Nurse – Critical Care Specialist

Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) , in partnership with Mayo Clinic, is looking for a high-caliber ICU Staff Nurse to join our intensive care team in Abu Dhabi. Key Responsibilities

• Critical Care Coordination: Manage and prioritize comprehensive nursing care for patients with life-threatening conditions.

• Advanced Assessment: Perform continuous, systematic physical and hemodynamic assessments to detect subtle changes in patient status.

• Intervention & Implementation: Execute evidence-based interventions, including ventilator management, titration of vasoactive drips, and renal replacement therapies.

• Collaborative Planning: Work alongside intensivists and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adapt individualized care plans.

• Family Education: Provide empathetic and clear education to families regarding complex medical treatments and transitions of care.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.

• Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) registration and eligibility for DOH Abu Dhabi licensure.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a critical care or intensive care setting.

• Competencies: Strong critical thinking, proficiency in advanced life support protocols, and excellent communication skills.
