Key Responsibilities

• Dynamic Instruction: Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons aligned with IB (MYP/DP) and American Standards, ensuring students develop both fluency and conceptual depth.

• Inquiry-Driven Learning: Implement creative, hands-on teaching strategies that foster curiosity and encourage students to become independent problem-solvers.

• Differentiated Support: Tailor instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of an international student body, ensuring every learner is both supported and challenged.

• Collaborative Planning: Work with the Math department to develop curricula, share best practices, and integrate data-driven insights into classroom practice.

• Student Assessment: Use a range of formative and summative assessments to track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.

• Holistic Engagement: Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities (typically two sessions per week) and student mentorship.

Your Technical Expertise

• Curriculum Mastery: Proven experience with IB MYP/DP or American Common Core/AP frameworks.

• Inquiry-Based Pedagogy: Strong understanding of “Approaches to Teaching and Learning” (ATL) and inquiry-driven classroom environments.

• Technology Integration: Ability to use advanced educational tools (e.g., graphing calculators, STEM software, and AI-driven learning platforms) to enhance mathematical reasoning.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or a related subject, plus a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, PGDE, or state teaching license).

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of successful secondary teaching experience; 3+ years in an IB or American setting is highly preferred.

• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English; ability to build strong rapport with a multicultural community.

• Compliance: Candidates must provide a clear criminal record check (e.g., UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent) and satisfy local licensing requirements (KHDA/ADEK).
