This is a unique “hybrid” opportunity. Beyond delivering high-impact lessons in History, Geography, or Sociology, the successful candidate has the potential to step into AP Program Leadership. You will help shape the strategic direction of our Advanced Placement offerings, ensuring our students are prepared for the rigors of global higher education. Key Responsibilities

  • Instructional Excellence: Deliver engaging, inquiry-based Humanities lessons across Grades 9–12, specializing in disciplines like History, Geography, and Sociology.

  • Curriculum Design: Utilize standards-based grading and student-centered methodologies to challenge and inspire a diverse international student body.

  • AP Program Leadership (Optional/Experience-based):

    • Support the strategic growth of 12 AP subjects across the school.

    • Mentor fellow teachers on curriculum alignment, assessment moderation, and College Board compliance.

    • Collaborate with the IBDP Coordinator to ensure smooth scheduling and pathway coherence for students.

  • Data-Driven Improvement: Analyze student performance data to track outcomes and implement strategies for exam readiness and program enhancement.

  • Community Engagement: Maintain proactive communication with parents and contribute to the vibrant extracurricular life of the school.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a Humanities-related field (History, Geography, Sociology, etc.).

  • Certification: Recognized teaching qualification (B.Ed., M.Ed., PGCE/PGDE, or equivalent state license).

  • Experience: * Minimum of two (2) years of secondary teaching experience.

    • Experience with AP or IB Humanities courses is highly desirable.

  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, proficiency in educational technology, and a commitment to the Al-Futtaim values of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

  • Leadership Potential: A clear desire to develop leadership capacity in AP coordination and strategic school development.
