Archive, a premier dining destination in Sharjah, is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Head Waiter / Head Waitress to lead our front-of-house team. This role is designed for a hospitality professional who balances high-level service with operational leadership, ensuring that every guest receives a personalized and seamless experience.

As a Head Waiter, you are the bridge between the kitchen and the guest. You will be responsible for orchestrating the flow of the dining floor, mentoring a multicultural service team, and driving the outlet’s revenue through expert menu knowledge and suggestive selling. We are looking for a charismatic leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and possesses the “hands-on” attitude required to maintain the highest standards of grooming, service, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Synergy: Work in close cooperation with the Kitchen, Stewarding, and Cashiering teams to ensure the outlet operates as a cohesive unit.

  • Team Leadership & Training: Conduct regular training sessions based on departmental SOPs and manage staff duty schedules to ensure optimal floor coverage.

  • Guest Relations: Lead the welcoming and seating of guests, maintaining professional and friendly relationships with patrons to ensure their well-being and encourage repeat business.

  • Service Standards: Oversee the timely setup of the outlet for different meal periods and ensure all team members adhere to strict appearance and grooming standards.

  • Revenue Optimization: Actively contribute to meeting and exceeding monthly revenue budgets through promotional awareness and high-level service techniques.

  • Menu Expertise: Maintain an in-depth understanding of the outlet’s menu, wine lists, and current promotions to provide accurate information to guests and staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Ideally possess a Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.

  • Experience: Up to 2 years of experience in a similar supervisory or leadership role within the F&B industry.

  • Technical Skills: Wide familiarity with Micros (POS) or similar restaurant management systems is highly desirable.

  • Language: Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory.

  • Competencies: Strong aptitude for customer care, ability to work under pressure, and proven experience in supervising multi-cultural teams.
