Job Description: Graduate Engineer – Energy & Infrastructure (UAE Nationals)
Wood (represented via EHIF), a world-renowned leader in consulting and engineering, is launching a recruitment drive for Graduate Engineers specifically for UAE Nationals . This role is a prestigious entry point into the global energy sector, designed to transform high-potential graduates into the next generation of Emirati engineering leaders.
As a Graduate Engineer, you will be part of a structured Graduate Development Program (GDP) . You won’t just be sitting behind a desk; you will be mentored by world-class experts on high-impact projects—ranging from traditional oil and gas to hydrogen, carbon capture, and large-scale infrastructure. This program is a cornerstone of Wood’s commitment to the UAE’s “Nafis” initiative and the “Projects of the 50,” focusing on building sovereign technical capabilities in sustainable energy.
Key Responsibilities

Technical Design & Support: Assist senior engineers in preparing technical drawings, calculations, and data sheets for energy and infrastructure projects.

Multidisciplinary Exposure: Rotate through different engineering departments (eg, Process, Civil, Mechanical, or Digital) to gain a holistic understanding of project lifecycles.

Sustainable Innovation: Contribute to studies focused on decarbonization, energy efficiency, and renewable energy integration.

Project Management: Support project leads in monitoring schedules, tracking progress, and ensuring high-quality technical documentation.

Continuous Learning: Actively participate in the Wood Energy Transition Academy and attend technical workshops to build core competencies.

International Collaboration: Work as part of a “Team of Teams,” collaborating with Wood’s global offices on international engineering assignments.
Qualifications & Requirements

Nationality: Must be a UAE National (with a valid Family Book).

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, or Instrumentation).

Experience: Newly graduated or with less than 2 years of experience.

Skills: A passion for sustainability, strong analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills in English.
