Magic
Job Description: Full-Stack Web Developer (Freelance/Remote) – SaaS & AI
Are you a pragmatic, “integration-first” developer who enjoys stitching together powerful SaaS tools to build modern business solutions? Magic, representing a U.S.-based leader in home inspector training, is seeking a Part-Time Full-Stack Web Developer to architect and build a next-generation, AI-enabled student portal.
In this pivotal role, you will lead the digital transformation for a company dedicated to certifying the next generation of home inspectors. Your mission is to build a custom SaaS frontend that uses Go High Level (GHL) as its operational engine. You won’t just be coding; you’ll be a technical strategist, translating complex business requirements into a secure, scalable portal where students can manage everything from class schedules and payments to policy waivers. If you have a passion for clean UI, robust API integrations, and AI-driven efficiency, this is an opportunity to own the full product lifecycle for a growing industry leader.
Your Technical & Product Mission
SaaS Architecture & Full-Stack Development
-
Technical Roadmap: Translate business goals into actionable data flows and integration points, selecting the best stack to balance speed and maintainability.
-
Modern Stack Mastery: Build the student-facing portal using React/Next.js and Tailwind CSS, supported by a Node.js/Express backend.
-
Secure Data Modeling: Establish and manage complex data models for users, roles, memberships, and payment histories.
Integrations & Automation
-
GHL Integration: Actively leverage Go High Level (GHL) APIs and webhooks to sync contacts, messaging, and inbox activities in real-time.
-
Payment Orchestration: Implement production-grade Stripe integrations, handling everything from subscriptions and refunds to secure webhook management.
-
Workflow Automation: Build and monitor automated workflows using Zapier, n8n, or Make to reduce manual overhead and improve system reliability.
UI/UX, Security & DevOps
-
Mobile-First Design: Deliver a high-fidelity, responsive dashboard using tools like Figma or Framer as your blueprint.
-
Deployment & Reliability: Manage deployments to Vercel or AWS with full SSL, backups, and GitHub Actions-based CI/CD.
-
Security Advocacy: Enforce “least-privilege” access control and rigorous input validation to protect sensitive student data.
What You Bring to Magic
-
Proven Experience: Significant background in building and deploying full-stack SaaS products.
-
Integration Expertise: Hands-on experience with Go High Level (GHL) APIs and Stripe in a production environment.
-
Core Technical Stack: Proficiency in React/Next.js, Node.js, and modern CSS frameworks like Tailwind.
-
Pragmatic Mindset: A “build vs. buy” mentality that focuses on delivering value quickly without sacrificing security.
-
Home Setup: A dedicated, quiet workspace with a high-performance computer (≥8GB RAM, i5/Ryzen 5) and stable 40Mbps+ internet.
