Job Description: Front Office Receptionist (Arabic / Russian Speaker)
Occidental Sharjah Grand , a prominent destination known for its high standards of hospitality, is looking for a versatile and linguistically skilled Front Office Agent / Receptionist . In this role, you serve as the primary ambassador of the hotel, acting as the face of the property from the moment a guest arrives until their departure.
We are specifically seeking a candidate who can bridge communication gaps for our diverse international clientele, with a strong preference for Arabic or Russian speakers . Beyond standard check-in and check-out procedures, you will be a key driver of the hotel’s revenue through strategic upselling and a champion of guest satisfaction through personalized service. Your Impact & Key Responsibilities

Guest Journey Management: Execute all front desk operations including seamless check-ins/outs, managing reservations, handling telephone inquiries, and responding to guest emails with professional flair.

Revenue Generation: Actively employ suggestive selling techniques to increase room occupancy and department revenue through upgrades and specialized services.

Communication Hub: Manage internal and external communications, ensuring that guest requests are coordinated efficiently across departments, including bell services and transportation.

Personalized Hospitality: Create and maintain specialized guest profiles to deliver a tailored experience that encourages brand loyalty.

Operational Leadership: Participate in regular training sessions and provide support and direction to the broader front office support team, including bellboys and drivers.

Financial Integrity: Handle cashiering duties accurately, ensuring all guest accounts are settled according to hotel policies and local regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 2–3 years of proven experience in a Front Office or Reception role within a 4 or 5-star hotel environment.

Linguistic Skills: Fluency in Russian or Arabic is highly preferred to cater to our core market segments. Excellent English communication is mandatory.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in hotel management systems (PMS) and basic office software.

Attributes: High emotional intelligence, ability to multitask under pressure, and a polished, professional appearance.
