Job Description: Multi-Discipline AutoCAD Draftsperson (Freelance)

Are you a technical precision expert who speaks the language of “PDF Redlines” and “CAD Standards”? Bayshire Management Consulting LLC is seeking a highly skilled Freelance AutoCAD Draftsperson to act as a key technical support pillar for our diverse engineering and consultancy projects in Dubai.

This isn’t just about drawing lines; it’s about coordination and accuracy. We need a versatile draftsperson who can seamlessly pivot between Structural, Civil, MEP, and Fire & Life Safety disciplines. You will be responsible for taking complex engineer markups and translating them into clean, submission-ready drawing sets. If you are a self-starter who thrives on organized layers, perfect line weights, and meeting project-based deadlines with surgical precision, we have a steady stream of work waiting for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Precision Revisions: Modify and update AutoCAD drawings based on detailed engineer markups, PDF redlines, site notes, and RFIs.

• Multi-Discipline Support: Maintain and update comprehensive drawing sets across:

  • Structural: Detailed plans, sections, and reinforcement details.

  • Civil: Site plans, grading, and utility layouts.

  • MEP: HVAC, electrical, and plumbing schematics.

  • Fire: Sprinkler systems, fire alarm layouts, and strategy drawings.

• Standardization: Ensure all files are clean, properly layered, and strictly follow established CAD standards and naming conventions.

• Version Control: Manage revision clouds, tables, and file history to ensure the latest data is always accessible.

• Submission Prep: Prepare professional drawing packages (DWG + PDF), including plotting, page setups, and Xref management.

• Clash Coordination: Conduct basic inter-disciplinary checks to identify and resolve visual clashes between services.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is mandatory.

• Industry Context: Proven experience working with multi-discipline construction drawing sets within the UAE/GCC landscape.

• Technical Detail: Obsessive attention to detail regarding layers, lineweights, blocks, and Xrefs.

• Workflow: Ability to work independently from markups with minimal supervision while maintaining high speed and accuracy.

• Communication: Clear, professional communication regarding project progress and technical queries.

• Preferred: Experience with as-builts, shop drawings, and authority submission packages. (Revit knowledge is a bonus).
