Job Description: Environmental Engineer (Emirati Focus)
Are you a sustainability-driven engineer looking to influence the decarbonization of the Middle East’s industrial landscape? Segula Technologies is seeking an Environmental Engineer for our Abu Dhabi consultancy team. This role is a strategic blend of environmental risk management, regulatory compliance, and high-level technical reporting.
As a key member of our regional experts, you will navigate the complex intersection of industrial development and environmental protection. You will be responsible for authoring the documents that ensure major projects in the UAE, KSA, and Oman meet the highest sustainability benchmarks—from EIA and HSEIA to GHG management. Key Responsibilities

Impact Assessment & Planning: Lead the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Health, Safety, and Environmental Impact Assessments (HSEIA) for major projects in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Management Frameworks: Develop and implement Construction and Operational Environmental Management Plans (CEMP/OEMP).

Sustainability & Carbon: Support the delivery of Social Risk Management (SRM), Best Available Techniques (BAT), and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) management systems.

Technical Synthesis: Interpret complex baseline surveys (terrestrial ecology, soil, groundwater) and technical modeling outputs to provide actionable insights in reports.

Proposal Development: Prepare commercial and technical proposals, including man-day estimates and data request forms, under the guidance of the line manager.

Client & Stakeholder Relations: Attend scope-setting meetings, conduct site visits, and manage stakeholder expectations through professional presentations and conflict resolution.
Your Technical Toolkit

Modeling Mastery: Exposure to industry-standard tools such as AERMOD (air dispersion), SoundPlan (noise), and OilMap/MIKE-2 (hydrodynamic/oil spill modeling).

Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of ADNOC, ARAMCO, and international standards.

Systems Expertise: Familiarity with ISO 14001 (Environment), ISO 14064 (GHG), and GRI standards (Sustainability reporting).

Specialist Insight: Understanding of terrestrial ecology, marine biology, and environmental chemistry.
Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience: * Mid-Level: 4–6 years of experience.

Senior: 8–12 years of experience.

Sector Focus: Solid background in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical risk engineering.

Skills: Exceptional technical report writing in English, Root Cause Analysis, and the ability to work in a fast-paced consultancy environment.
