Key Responsibilities

Academic Excellence: Deliver high-quality English Language and Literature instruction across the Secondary phase, including GCSE and A-Level (AQA/Edexcel).

Design Thinking: Implement a “Design Thinking” approach to Secondary education, fostering critical thinking and cross-curricular connections.

Technology Integration: Utilize Google for Education tools and Chromebooks to create interactive, student-led learning experiences.

Holistic Mentorship: Act as a role model for students, fostering “Agency, Agility, and Altitude” through personalized guidance and support.

Collaborative Innovation: Contribute significantly to the English Department through shared planning, resource development, and peer observations.

Extracurricular Engagement: Lead or support a comprehensive extra-curricular program that emphasizes character development.
Requirements & Qualifications

Academic Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree or major in English Literature or English Language.

Professional Certification: A PGCE in Secondary English (or equivalent recognized teaching qualification).

Curriculum Expertise: Proven experience teaching the National Curriculum for England, specifically with AQA, Edexcel, or equivalent exam boards.

Teaching Standard: Evidence of “Outstanding” teaching practice or the clear potential to achieve it.

Tech-Savviness: Confidence in using classroom technology (Google Workspace for Education) to enrich the learning journey.

Safeguarding: A total commitment to child protection, subject to enhanced criminal background and identity checks.
