Accor , a global leader in hospitality, is seeking a diligent and proactive Engineering Maintenance Assistant to join the facilities team at one of our premier Dubai properties. This role is fundamental to the “behind-the-scenes” success of the hotel, ensuring that our mechanical environments are clean, organized, and functioning at peak efficiency.

As an Engineering Assistant, you are the first line of defense in preventive maintenance. Your primary focus will be on air quality and system longevity—specifically through the meticulous care of HVAC (AC) components—while supporting senior engineers on more complex technical repairs. Key Responsibilities

• HVAC Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine cleaning and replacement of AC filters across guest rooms and public areas to ensure optimal air quality and cooling efficiency.

• Area Stewardship: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of engineering workshops, plant rooms, and tool storage areas.

• Technical Assistance: Support senior technicians and engineers in basic mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) repairs and installations.

• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to hotel safety protocols, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling tools with professional care.

• Emergency Support: Act as a reliable support member during technical emergencies or power outages, following the engineering team’s rapid-response procedures.

• Reporting: Maintain basic logs of completed filter cleanings and alert supervisors to any identified equipment wear or potential hazards.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Technical Aptitude: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools; Prior experience in a maintenance or “handyman” role is an advantage.

• Language: Functional English skills to understand work orders and communicate with the team.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and navigate “back-of-house” service areas.

• Attitude: A reliable, hardworking individual who understands the importance of cleanliness in mechanical spaces.

• Commitment: Willingness to work in shifts and provide support during emergency maintenance calls.
