Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) is searching for a high-energy, clinically sharp Emergency Room (ER) Staff Nurse to join our frontline trauma and urgent care team in Abu Dhabi. As a key player in one of the UAE’s largest and most advanced medical complexes, you will be responsible for the rapid assessment, stabilization, and coordination of care for patients in critical and acute situations.

Your Role & Impact

• Rapid Assessment & Triage: Efficiently evaluate patient conditions to prioritize care based on clinical urgency and the “Nursing Scope of Practice.”

• Direct Clinical Intervention: Execute life-saving protocols, administer emergency medications, and perform wound care or stabilization procedures.

• Care Coordination: Act as the central link between the patient, emergency physicians, and specialized units during transitions of care.

• Patient & Family Education: Translate complex medical situations into understandable guidance, empowering families to participate in the recovery process.

• Mission Alignment: Promote the mission, vision, and values ​​of SSMC by providing age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care to a diverse patient population.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from a recognized institution.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience , preferably in an Emergency or High-Acuity setting.

• Licensing: Valid Registered Nurse license; Must be eligible for DOH Abu Dhabi license.

• Core Competencies: Strong critical thinking under pressure, excellent communication, and a commitment to evidence-based practice.

• Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS are essential; PALS or TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) is a significant advantage.
