Are you a master of the seas with a specialized focus on Dynamic Positioning? Star Services LLC is recruiting a high-caliber DP2 Offshore Chief Officer to spearhead operations aboard a state-of-the-art Diving Support Vessel (DSV) in Abu Dhabi.

In this mission-critical role, you will be the second-in-command, serving as the bridge between senior leadership and deck operations. You will oversee the vessel’s safety protocols, manage complex DP2 operations during subsea interventions, and lead a multi-disciplinary maritime team. This position is designed for an “Operations Leader” who can maintain precision in high-stakes environments while ensuring 100% compliance with international maritime safety standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Operational Command: Direct and supervise deck operations on a DP2 DSV, ensuring the vessel maintains precise station-keeping during diving and subsea projects.

• Safety Leadership: Act as the Vessel Security Officer (VSO) and Safety Officer, implementing rigorous SMS (Safety Management System) protocols and emergency response drills.

• DP Management: Oversee the DP system’s integrity and operation, ensuring compliance with IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) guidelines.

• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and evaluate deck officers and crew, fostering a culture of professional excellence and operational safety.

• Cargo & Stability: Manage vessel stability, ballast operations, and the safe handling of specialized subsea equipment and cargo.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate deck logs, planned maintenance records, and regulatory documentation required by flag state and ADNOC/Charterer requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certification: Must hold a valid Master Class 1 Unlimited COC (Certificate of Competency).

• DP Credentials: Valid NI (Nautical Institute) DP Unlimited Certificate with a proven track record on DP2 or DP3 vessels.

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer, specifically on Diving Support Vessels (DSV) or similar offshore construction assets.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of DP2 redundancy, subsea operation risks, and diving support protocols.

• Language: Professional proficiency in English is required; German language skills are a plus (as noted in the original brief).
