Working within the IB Primary Years Program (PYP) framework, you will lead pastoral initiatives that support our diverse student body, ensuring every child feels safe, heard, and empowered to succeed. Key Responsibilities

• Pastoral Leadership: Lead the Primary school’s pastoral care strategy, ensuring a consistent and proactive approach to student well-being and personal development.

• Safeguarding & Welfare: Act as a key lead in safeguarding, maintaining a secure and happy environment in line with “Keeping Children Safe in Education” (KCSIE) standards.

• Student Support: Coordinate with teachers, parents, and specialists to provide personalized support for students’ emotional, social, and behavioral needs.

• Multilingual Community Engagement: Foster strong, positive relationships with our diverse international parent body across our Bilingual (English/French/German) streams.

• Leadership Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Primary and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to align pastoral care with the school’s academic goals and the IB philosophy.

• Professional Development: Mentor and support staff in developing their pastoral skills and implementing effective classroom management and well-being strategies.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Educational Leadership: Proven experience in a middle or senior leadership role within a primary school setting.

• Curriculum Knowledge: Deep understanding of the IB Primary Years Program (PYP) and its emphasis on learner profiles and international-mindedness.

• Safeguarding Expertise: Strong knowledge of international safeguarding best practices and vetting procedures.

• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills in English; the ability to speak French or German is a distinct advantage in our multilingual environment.

• Global Mindset: Experience working within a diverse, multicultural “Continuum World School” or a Nord Anglia Education institution.

• Qualifications: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education and a recognized teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
