Are you a production-hardened engineer who thrives on the accountability of keeping massive systems alive? SentraAI (via Global Corporation) is seeking a Data Platform Engineer in Abu Dhabi to own the foundational infrastructure that powers a multi-year enterprise AI transformation.

This is not a “sandbox” role. You will be stepping into a live, high-scrutiny environment where you are the guardian of a modern cloud lakehouse. The Mission: Stability, Scale, and Scrutiny

Foundational Infrastructure & Orchestration

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Architect and maintain cloud environments using Terraform or Pulumi, ensuring that the platform is reproducible, versioned, and scalable.

• Lakehouse Operations: Build and tune distributed compute runtimes and object storage layouts (S3) with optimized lifecycle policies and strict access controls.

• CI/CD Mastery: Implement and manage robust pipelines for both infrastructure and data assets, ensuring that deployments are frequent, safe, and automated.

Distributed Systems & Real-Time Data

• Compute Performance: Optimize and operate distributed processing environments powered by Spark, Hadoop, and Redshift.

• Streaming Infrastructure: Maintain the “nervous system” of the enterprise by running Kafka event streaming and CDC (Change Data Capture) services for real-time workloads.

• Big Data Stack: Leverage your expertise in Hive, Scala, and NoSQL to manage high-volume data estates that span numerous source systems.

Operational Excellence & Reliability

• Observability & Alerting: Build the stacks that monitor platform health, ensuring that failures are detected—and resolved—before they impact the business.

• Incident Response: Take the lead during system failures and critical delivery windows. You are the engineer the team trusts when the pressure is on.

• Cost Governance: Implement automated scaling and cost controls to ensure that high performance doesn’t lead to unpredictable cloud bills.
