This is a high-impact role designed for a Tier-1 certified specialist capable of managing the most complex pathologies of the brain and spine.

As a senior consultant, you will be at the forefront of a high-growth neuroscience department, utilizing cutting-edge technologies to deliver life-changing outcomes. You will not only lead intricate surgical interventions but also act as a clinical visionary, mentoring the next generation of specialists and driving multidisciplinary excellence in a fast-paced, international medical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complex Clinical Management: Diagnose and treat a comprehensive range of neurosurgical conditions, including high-grade gliomas, complex spinal deformities, cerebrovascular anomalies, and traumatic brain injuries.

• Advanced Surgical Intervention: Execute sophisticated procedures using neuronavigation, neuro-endoscopy, and minimally invasive techniques to optimize patient recovery and safety.

• Multidisciplinary Leadership: Spearhead the Neuroscience tumor board and lead collaborative care pathways with Oncology, ICU, Radiology, and Rehabilitation departments.

• Service Development: Contribute to clinical governance through rigorous audits and Morbidity & Mortality (M&M) reviews, ensuring the facility meets international excellence benchmarks.

• Education & Research: Provide clinical mentorship to residents and fellows while engaging in evidence-based research to advance neurosurgical protocols within the UAE.

Technical Expertise & Specializations

• Technology Mastery: Proficiency in Intraoperative MRI/CT, Neuromonitoring (IONM), and robotic-assisted spinal platforms.

• Preferred Subspecialty Interests: * Neuro-oncology: Complex skull base and intrinsic brain tumor resection.

  • Spine Surgery: Complex reconstructions and minimally invasive stabilization.

  • Neurovascular: Management of aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations (AVMs).

  • Functional Neurosurgery: Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) or epilepsy surgery.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certification: Must hold a Tier-1 qualification such as CCT/CCST (UK), American Board Certification, Canadian Board (FRCSC), or equivalent.

• Experience: A minimum of 8–10 years of post-specialty training experience in a high-acuity tertiary or academic medical center.

• Licensing: Must be eligible for a DHA (Dubai Health Authority) Consultant License.

• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage high-pressure clinical environments.
