Job Description: Bilingual KG Teacher (Arabic & English)

Are you an educator who can seamlessly bridge two worlds? GEMS Our Own Dubai (OOD) is seeking a dynamic, bilingual female teacher to join our Kindergarten department.

In this role, you will be the cornerstone of our youngest learners’ development, delivering a dual-language experience that fosters both academic success and cultural understanding. We are looking for an educator who doesn’t just teach, but inspires—someone who can manage a diverse classroom of “Curious Cubs,” from gifted learners to those requiring ESL support. Key Responsibilities

• Bilingual Instruction: Deliver the curriculum effectively in both English and Arabic, ensuring high standards of fluency and comprehension in both languages.

• Personalized Learning: Assess and cater to the individual needs of KG students, including late-entering students, ESL learners, and gifted and talented children.

• Curriculum Management: Plan, prepare, and document high-quality lessons and year plans, maintaining meticulous records of attendance and assessment.

• Classroom Environment: Create a stimulating and safe learning space using modern media and technology to engage various learning styles.

• Assessment & Reporting: Set and mark work regularly; track and report on student progress to ensure attainment targets are met.

• Parental Engagement: Act as a bridge between the school and home, keeping parents informed of their child’s progress while promoting the GEMS philosophy.

• Holistic Contribution: Participate in and lead co-curricular activities, school events (concerts, prize days), and staff committees.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Language Mastery: Native or near-native fluency in both Arabic and English (written and verbal) is mandatory.

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject from a recognized university (Attested degree preferred).

• Location: Must be currently available in the UAE and ready to join immediately.

• Visa Status: Preference will be given to candidates on a sponsored visa (e.g., family/spouse sponsorship).

• Vetting: Must be able to provide a UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police clearance.

• Attributes: High energy, professional conduct, and a willingness to commit effort beyond the typical workday to ensure student success.
