Flatgigs is recruiting a high-caliber Assistant Manager for Accounting and Tax to join a premier accounting platform in the UAE. This role is designed for a tech-savvy finance professional who can balance the rigors of compliance with the innovation of modern cloud accounting.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be a key advisor to a diverse client portfolio, navigating the complexities of the UAE’s evolving tax landscape—specifically VAT and the newly implemented Corporate Tax . Beyond traditional bookkeeping, you will be a “Digital Transformation” leader, spearheading process improvements and leveraging automation tools to deliver real-time financial insights. This is a fast-paced role ideal for a qualified accountant (ACCA/CA) who thrives at the intersection of financial expertise and cloud technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Portfolio Leadership: Manage and oversee a diverse range of client accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely month-end closures.

• Tax Compliance: Serve as the subject matter expert for UAE VAT filings and Corporate Tax compliance, ensuring all clients meet federal regulatory requirements.

• Process Automation: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement automation strategies using cloud tools to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.

• Cloud Accounting Mastery: Utilize and optimize platforms such as Zoho Books and QuickBooks Online to provide clients with transparent, real-time data.

• Client Advisory: Act as a confident communicator and consultant, explaining complex financial health indicators and tax implications to business owners.

• Team Supervision: Guide and mentor junior accountants, ensuring high standards of work and adherence to the latest IFRS and UAE regulations.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Qualifications (Mandatory): Must be a fully qualified ACCA, ACA, or CA.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience within the UAE accounting sector is essential.

• Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with cloud-based ecosystems, specifically Zoho Books and QuickBooks .

• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of UAE VAT laws and the Corporate Tax framework.

• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English; ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders confidently.
