Are you a linguist who can bridge the gap between traditional Arabic instruction and a global classroom setting? Global English School (GES) in Abu Dhabi is looking for a dedicated Arabic teacher to join our faculty on a permanent, full-time basis.

As an Arabic teacher in an English-medium environment, your role is pivotal in helping students master the local language while integrating into the school’s international culture. We are seeking an educator who possesses deep subject knowledge and the linguistic versatility to communicate effectively with a diverse, multilingual community of students, parents, and staff.

Core Responsibilities & Impact

• Curriculum Delivery: Plan and execute engaging Arabic language lessons (Native or Non-Native streams) in accordance with the UAE Ministry of Education standards.

• Bilingual Communication: Utilize your fluency in English to support administrative duties, parent-teacher conferences, and cross-departmental collaboration.

• Student Assessment: Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing clear feedback to help learners achieve high levels of literacy and verbal proficiency.

• Cultural Advocacy: Promote an appreciation for Arabic heritage and culture through classroom activities and school-wide events.

• Classroom Management: Maintain an organized, respectful, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation.

Candidate Requirements

• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Arabic Language or Literature .

• Qualifications: A recognized professional Teaching Qualification (eg, B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent).

• Linguistic Skills: Must be FLUENT in English (both written and verbal) to facilitate communication within the international school context.

• Experience: 2-4 years of teaching experience is required; candidates with previous experience in the UAE are highly preferred.

The Arabic Learning Framework

In the UAE, Arabic instruction is divided into two distinct streams. Depending on the student cohort, you will adapt your pedagogy for:

• Arabic A: For native speakers, focusing on advanced literature, grammar, and formal writing.

• Arabic B: For non-native speakers, focusing on communicative competence and foundational vocabulary.
