Job Duties

  • Deliver high-impact, in-person Arabic instruction specifically designed for adult learners in a professional setting.

  • Facilitate 60-minute training sessions that emphasize conversational fluency, reading comprehension, and professional listening skills.

  • Align all curriculum and teaching materials with the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) proficiency scale.

  • Develop customized lesson plans that integrate job-relevant terminology and real-world communication scenarios applicable to the Abu Dhabi business and diplomatic landscape.

  • Administer quarterly proficiency assessments using recognized frameworks (ILR, ACTFL, or FSI) to measure student growth.

  • Provide detailed progress documentation and data-driven training recommendations for corporate or individual clients.

  • Manage hybrid or virtual learning environments effectively, ensuring consistent instructional quality across all platforms.

  • Instruct across multiple tiers, from foundational Basic levels to sophisticated Advanced linguistic nuances.


Requirements

  • Master the ILR proficiency framework to accurately categorize and elevate student linguistic abilities.

  • Communicate with professional presence, serving as a cultural and linguistic ambassador for the Arabic language.

  • Apply instructional design principles to create structured, measurable, and engaging learning paths for busy professionals.

  • Navigate the legal requirements for UAE service provision, ensuring all residency and licensing statuses are proactively maintained.

  • Adapt teaching strategies dynamically to suit the specific goals of corporate, governmental, or diplomatic learners.

  • Utilize modern assessment tools to provide objective feedback and identify specific areas for student improvement.


Qualifications

  • Required: Proven experience teaching Arabic to adults in a formal, structured educational or corporate environment.

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, Arabic Studies, or a related field.

  • Certifications: Recognized teaching credentials (e.g., CELTA-equivalent for Arabic, or specialized language pedagogy certifications).

  • Experience: Background in preparing learners for formal proficiency testing within FSI, ACTFL, or ILR standards.

  • Legal: Must be an Abu Dhabi resident with a valid visa and legal authorization to provide freelance or part-time services.
