Job Description: MRI Technologist
Are you a precision-driven imaging professional ready to work with the latest diagnostic technology? American Hospital Dubai, the first private hospital in the Middle East to be JCI-accredited, is expanding its medical imaging team. We are looking for highly skilled MRI Technologists to join our state-of-the-art facility.
As an MRI Technologist at American Hospital, you will play a critical role in our “American standard” healthcare delivery. You will operate high-field MRI scanners to produce superior diagnostic images while ensuring the highest level of patient safety and comfort. Working alongside American Board-certified physicians, you will be part of a team that values clinical excellence, continuous learning, and the compassionate treatment of every patient.
Key Responsibilities

Clinical Imaging: Perform a wide range of MRI examinations, including neurological, musculoskeletal, and vascular studies, ensuring adherence to hospital protocols and high-quality image output.

Patient Safety & Screening: Conduct rigorous MRI safety screenings for patients, staff, and visitors to prevent accidents related to the magnetic field.

Technical Mastery: Calibrate and maintain MRI equipment, troubleshoot minor technical issues, and ensure the scanner suite is clean and stocked.

Patient Care: Prepare and position patients for exams, explain procedures to alleviate anxiety, and monitor patient well-being throughout the scan.

Contrast Administration: Identify, prepare, and administer intravenous contrast agents as prescribed by licensed practitioners.

Collaborative Support: Work closely with Radiologists to optimize imaging sequences and assist in interventional or specialized procedures.

Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and image data within the hospital’s electronic systems (PACS/RIS).
Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Radiography, Medical Imaging, or a related field.

Licensure: * Valid DHA (Dubai Health Authority) license or eligibility letter.

Active home country registration.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of recent post-graduate experience as an MRI Technologist in a clinical setting.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating advanced MRI scanners and post-processing workstations.

Soft Skills: Excellent command of English (Arabic is a plus); strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to work in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.

Safety Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of magnetic protection, radiation safety, and JCIA standards.
